Facilitation
Rox’s expertise as a facilitator has resulted in thousands of well thought, productive meetings; staff retreats; community problem solving sessions; and business plans. She is an expert in convenings, conference planning and execution, and outcome-focused retreats. Whether creating a new strategic direction, increasing staff productivity and involvement, or reaching community agreement to solve a challenge, her expertise in negotiations, decision-making, and planning are invaluable. She led Denver’s Road Home and the strategic planning process that created it, recently facilitated the City of Denver’s General Obligation Bond Process, and worked intensively with Occupy Denver while Chief of Staff for Governor Hickenlooper.
She is supported in this work by her team, and in particular by Sabrina, who has been formally trained by Community at Work. Sabrina is an expert in facilitation and participatory decision making. Together they have facilitated both large and small convenings, ranging from one-off intensive meetings to long-term planning sessions. They have supported, among others, the State of Colorado to convene the Former Foster Care Youth Steering Committee to revamp the foster care system, Arapahoe County on 2Gen work, and the City and local providers to address homelessness in Denver.
